Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.
— Carl Jung
Welcome to Jungian Coaching
Albert Einstein famously said, “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” This idea is the foundation of Jungian coaching. One may consciously and rationally think about personal challenges, goals, and preoccupations for days, months, or years without reaching satisfying conclusions or solutions. These unresolved issues can become all-consuming, negatively affecting our relationships (with ourselves and with others) and our careers. Jungian coaching offers an alternative to traditional ways of thinking about the world and one’s place in it. This visionary, creative, playful, and non-linear approach has benefited many.

More about Jungian coaching
“Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.” –Joseph Campbell
Jungian coaching is a depth psychology-inspired, growth-oriented, and creative approach to coaching. These methods have been inspired by renowned Swiss Psychiatrist Carl Jung, American author Joseph Campbell, expressive arts therapy, and Gestalt therapy.
The sea is the favorite symbol for the unconscious, the mother of all that lives.” –Carl Jung
Jung believed that we each have a personal well that is filled with our individual experiences, memories, dreams, wishes, fears, and problematic relationships. This is what he called the “unconscious.” As a result of his vast research, he also believed that there is a deeper and grander “collective unconscious.” All of humanity draws from and is connected to this wider well. Ultimately, it is the exploration of both storehouses, within a safe, comfortable, and creative environment, that powers transformation.
Coaching vs Therapy
In coaching we work together in a partnership to ascertain what steps will best aid you in your goals, your dilemmas, or your needs for transformation. We focus more on the present time, sometimes dipping into the stories about how you got to where you are now. Coaching is forward-focused with clear and attainable goals in place. Therapy often requires a diagnosis from a clinician and may focus more on your past. The International Coaching Federation very specifically “defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
